Makeup Cleanout!

Hey you guys! If you've been following my blog this month, you know that one of my main goals for 2014 is to be healthier by living clean. Every week I will be working towards this goal little by little. Not only will I be physically cleaning my life, but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I'm getting rid of all the crap in my life!

Today, I worked on a physical goal. I cleaned out my Makeup Collection. (GASP!!) I don't have much makeup, but I had noticed that I had makeup in my drawers that I wasn't using or even worse, that I had used up and the empty container was just chillin' there. Oh heck no!

Living Clean in Twenty Fourteen

Hey you guys! I hope you're all having a great start to the new year! My New Years Eve was spent at work till 7 PM and then when I got home, it was just me and my little fur baby. I made tilapia and homemade parmesan, garlic, herb potato wedges. And then we laid on the sofa and watched Dick Clark's New Years Rocking Eve. And at 12:15 AM, I went to bed.

I didn't make any New Years Resolutions this year, I never really do. But I decided that I DO want to make a few for this year. However, I'm not going to call them "New Years Resolutions" because that's not what they are. Instead, I'm going to them 'Lifestyle Changes' because that's what they are.

I want to be healthier.

Yes, I know 'being healthy' is a vague term but I have defined it for myself. I am actually excited to get started on this new path for my life. I am so over being tired all the time and unhappy and feeling terrible after I eat. So here are the changes that I am going to be making to improve my quality of life:

LIFE LIST

Hey you guys! So today for Motivational Monday, I want to talk to you about a big thing in motivation... LISTS. (I can hear the groans of those of you who hate them lol) Sorry, not sorry. Lists are a great way to keep yourself motivated and also a great way to evaluate your goals and measure progress.

Food Poisoning Sucks!

Hey you guys!

On Tuesdays, I'm going to bringing you tip and tricks and other 'T' words! Today, is Tip Tuesday!

Today's Tip is about.... Carrots. (did you think it was going to be a 'T' word?) Organic carrots to be more specific. Last Thursday, I brought some carrots in my lunch. After lunch, I felt fine. And as the afternoon progressed.. everything seemed normal.

Well then as we were sitting in the car waiting for a co-worker to come out, my stomach started hurting, my head started throbbing and I could barely keep my eyes open. By the time I got home I thought I was going to collapse. I took Joey out and then came back in and laid on the sofa and turned on the T.V. (No matter how sick I feel, nothing is going to get in between Grey's Anatomy and me!)

Coffee Table Hunt = Complete

I have finally bit the bullet, pulled the trigger and purchased a coffee table. I'm not too sure how I feel about it though. Some days I love it and love the way it looks in my livingroom. Other days I simply think, 'why did I choose this one?' I'm so indecisive all the time, but I think I made the best choice for my current living room.

Throwback Thursday: A Walk Down Musical Memory Lane

Last week when I got in the truck to go to work, my mom had a musical 'treat for me.' I opened the door a sweet melody filled my ears. As the chords of the chorus hit my ear drums I  immediately became 10 years old again.

The Great Living Room Fiasco

When I first moved into my apartment, I knew that furnishing it and decorating it the way I wanted would be a slow process. But I never thought the reason for it would be that I didn't KNOW what I wanted in the space. Yes, I have an idea of what I want it to look like, but like I said in my previous post about my apartment, New Apartment: Clean Slate or Anxiety Attack, I really have no idea what I want the space to look like. Here's what I have in my living room now:

New Apartment: Clean Slate or Anxiety Attack

For most people having their first place or a new place is exciting because they can finally put their style to work in a place that belongs to them. That's how I felt when I moved into my apartment back in April. My mind was full of ideas. “I'm going to have this and this and this.” “I'm going to put this here and that there.” “This room is going to be these colors.” Fast forward 4 months... None of that has happened. Sure, I have my white sectional and black dinning set but that's all. Why you ask?
