Am I A Gamer?

Hey you guys! So as you can tell from the title, I'm asking myself a question this morning. No, this isn't just some random question I decided to ask myself... It's a real question. Now, for those that know me, KNOW that I am the FARTHEST thing from a gamer. Watching people play video games makes me sick, they move fast and I can't focus on anything so it makes me dizzy (Que the boyfriend calling me a hypocondicate lol) I would much rather be on pinterest or YouTube than watch someone play a 1st person shooter game (Titan Fall, Call of Duty, etc.).

And as for playing video games myself, SSX Tricky, GTA Vice City (Just randomly driving around, stealing money, beating people up, etc.) and Lego Star Wars are the extent of my video game play. However, recently I did make a purchase on a VIDEO GAME! I know! Me?! A video game! What is this world coming to?!

Don't get crazy and thing I went out and purchased GTA 5 or Titan Fall or anything like that. No, no. I got... Zoo Tycoon*. Don't laugh. This game is AMAZING! I have my own zoo. I have elephants and tigers and monkeys and antelope and birds. I even have a lemur, just like Zaboomafoo! :) The game is pretty sweet and after playing the whole demo (2 tutorials lol) I looked at my boyfriend and we both decided that I NEEDED it! lol

After it downloaded onto the xbox one I played it for about 3 hours (2 and a half were going through the tutorials!) Time just FLEW by me! Then last night, I went over to my boyfriends after work. Him and his friends were playing a game in the dinning room and I was in the living room playing with my zoo. Every so often, I'd wonder into the dinning room because the game needed to progress before I could do anything more. And he'd come into the living room to check on me. Next thing I know, he's coming in to tell me.. It's MIDNIGHT! What the heck! Where did the past 5 hours go? How on Earth did I just spend 5 hours playing a video game?!

How did this happen? Sure I have games on my phone (Tiny Tower, Temple Run and Match the Dots) but that doesn't make a gamer. Or does it? The fact that I bought Zoo Tycoon and spent 5 hours straight playing it, does make me a gamer. According to every gamer in my life, I am now officially a gamer.

What are your thoughts? Are you a gamer? What's your favorite game? Have you tried Zoo Tycoon?

Organization Train, Back on Track

Hey you guys! So remember back in January when I made this post and said I was going to do ONE organizational project a week? Well... I maybe kinda sorta fell off of that wagon. I said that I was going to work on my bath and beauty products and  then my closets. And the truth is, I did. Kind of. I completely cleaned out and semi organized most of my closets and all of my bath and beauty products. But I never posted about it and have been aspects of it that still need work and organization.

So I am going to start working on finishing them up and then posting about each one. I've fallen behind on a few projects I wanted to have completed by now. But I have to get back on track. I can't stand the chaos of things being unorganized. So get ready for a bunch of posts all about getting organized!

Is there something you've been putting off? Stop putting it off and just do it! :)

xoxo,
Meg

"Almost" No Heat Month Challenge

Hey you guys! For the month of March I am going to be doing a hair challenge! I'm a little nervous about this because it's new to me, but I am only going to be using heat on my hair on the days that I wash my hair (if that, even). For those of you that know me and know my hair, You've seen the damage and you've seen my struggle with my hair has well.

You might be thinking, a month without heat? That shouldn't be too hard. Well, then you don't know my hair. Because I am mixed (Itailan and black) my hair is a hot mess on it's own. I NEED the heat in order to tame it. Or NEEDED it, at least. When I say hot mess, I mean I look like Simba after a fight. My hair is wavy, straight and super Curly Sue curly all on ONE strand of hair! And no, this is NOT from heat, but simply the texture of my hair. It changes about every 7 years. You don't have the same hair type you did when you were a baby do you?

Or on the reverse side, you may be thinking, "Megan, are you crazy?! your hair is going to look terrible, you better put some heat on it or I will disown you." PLEASE don't disown me though. I need to do this, for ME.

Now, this month is not going to be just about no heat. It's also going to be about taking better care of my hair. It's not that I don't take care of my hair, but I can always take better care of it. I can't wash my hair everyday, because first, it's not good to wash your hair everyday, you remove all of the natural oils your scalp produces. Resulting in dry damaged brittle hair. )Unless of course you have an overly oil scalp, then you NEED to wash it every day)

Second, my hair CRAVES moisture (Ugh! I hate that word, I can't believe I just used it!) And washing it all the time, doesn't allow for moisture to stay in my hair. I know what you're thinking.. how is that possible. water is the epitomy of moisture. My hair texture however, does not do well with water moisture. Because when it dries, it's dry and damaged and brittle. AKA, there's ZERO moisture in it. Below is a list of products I will be using in my hair:

1. Suave Naturals Shampoo, Daily Clarifying*
2. Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Shampoo*
3. Aussie 3 minute miracle*
4. Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Conditioner*
5. TRESemme Heat Protector*
6. TRESemme Split Remedy LeaveIn Conditioning Spray*
7.  Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Spray*
8. Coconut Oil* (As a weekly conditioning treatment and as a daily styling product)

In addition to those Products, I will also be doing the following:
1. Taking Biotin supplements daily
2. Trimming my hair once a week
3. Drinking at LEAST 100oz of water

I will keep you updated on my thoughts, feelings and progress with this challenge. I am excited for this challenge and can't wait to see how long my hair grows in the next month. Would you be able to go a whole month with using barely any heat on your hair? Do you think I'm going to make it? Let me know your thoughts!

XoXo,
Meg
